Next League Starts Saturday, December 2, 2023

Coed Youth Basketball League for ages 4-14  (Pre-K through 8th grade)

This youth basketball league allows for a fun, recreational, instructional way to play and learn the sport. We will start the season with practices and drills. Following that we'll start to roll the teams into basketball games.  The season will consist of practice, games, and playoffs for both boys and girls. Only age group 7-14 will have playoffs.

One of the main objectives of this league is to give your child the best opportunity to make their junior high school team as a freshmen in 6th grade. Having the basic knowledge of basketball and the skills learned in our league will give them the best shot.

Jr. NBA/WNBA & RSS BAsketball Fall/Winter 2023 League Registration Information​

  • Registration: Opens July 16, 2023 - until sold out

  • Registration is taken on an individual basis. Online registration is available (debit/credit cards accepted)

  • Open to all Prince William County residents and non-residents 

  • Each player pays a registration fee to enter (payable at registration)

  • Ready Set Sports will place players on teams based on age

  • Buddy/sibling same team request are possible 

  • League is subject to close-out prior to the last day of signups

  • Location: 13020 Telegraph Road Woodbridge, VA 22192 

  • Co-Parent friendly (kids are not penalized for missing games or practices)

What's included: 

 Boys and Girls Ages 4, 5, & 6 will learn some of the basic rules of basketball. Here's some of what we will go over:​​

  • Jr. NBA jersey and shorts

  • Offense drills

  • Defense drills

  • Basic ball dribbling 

  • Passing 

  • Shooting

  • Lines on the court 

  • Rebounding

  • Exhibition games (no refs; just fun)

  • 6 Week program (December - January 2024)

Boys and Girls Ages 7-14 will learn some of the basic rules of basketball. Here's some of what we will go over:​​​

​Divisions: Ages 4/5/6 - Ages 7/8 - Ages 9/10 - Ages 11/12 - Ages - 13/14

  • Jr. NBA jersey and shorts

  • Offense drills

  • Defense drills

  • Basic ball dribbling drills

  • Passing drills

  • Shooting drills

  • Lines on the court 

  • Rebounding drills

  • Making shots with defense drill

  • Full court games

  • Record keeping 

  • AAU style double elimination tournament at the end of season (winter league only)

  • 14 Week program (November - March 2024)
